meet maria mena. I think part of the reason I like her is because she isn’t american, and isn’t overplayed. she’s a norwegian artist, and has only had minimal success in the u.s. I don’t like every single one of her songs, but that’s alright. some of her lyrics are powerful, and she’s so heartrending when she sings that you’ve no doubt she’s authentic. anyways, she’s mellow, genuine, and unapologizing, and I like that. here’s a few of her songs if you’d like to take a listen.
