this one probably won’t come as a surprise to you.. since I’ve been obsessing over him for the past week or so. at least, I’m pretty sure my roommate’s tired of hearing his songs. oh well. :: meet justin nozuka :: meet justin nozuka. he’s young; 21 years old, with an album out at 19. he’s ny [...] oh you’re gonna like this one. :: meet daniel merriweather :: meet daniel merriweather. he’s austrailian. it seems like I’ve become a big fan of austrailians lately.. go figure. anyways, his first cd (love & war) just came out last year, and is huge in the uk. I saw him first on ellen, and LOVED the song [...] they’re not old friends, but they’re definitely good friends. :: meet angels and airwaves :: meet angels and airwaves. they’re led by tom delonge, a blink 182 guitarist and vocalist, and are relatively new to the scene. they formed recently in 2005 when blink 182 began their hiatus, but in my humble opinion, they’ve already established a [...] I’ve semi-recently begun listening to this band, courtesy of a recommendation from a friend. { meet Portugal. The Man } meet Portugal. The Man. to be honest, I don’t have much to say about them because there’s not much to say after you listen to their music. I listen to them when I want to take a [...] { doesn't coffee in your favorite cup always seems to taste better? maybe it's just me. } call it a cop out, but I choose good old silence as my musician this week. I’ve been craving it lately, and it seems to be ever elusive. solitary silence, silence with other people, just plain silence. try to [...] I don’t feel like being superfluous about my choice of musician this week, so… :: meet fiona apple :: meet fiona apple. for such a small woman, she’s incredibly soulful and feisty. I like her cause it sounds like she couldn’t give a damn whether you like what she’s singing or how she’s singing it. her lyrics [...] what’s funny is that the person that introduced me to this band is someone I don’t like very much. thankfully, I don’t think of that person every time I listen to this music. otherwise, I suspect I wouldn’t like ‘em like I do. :: meet iron & wine :: meet iron & wine. it’s actually just a [...] this is where my true nerdiness outs itself. eh, who am I kidding, you already know I’m a nerd. :: meet frédéric chopin :: meet frédéric chopin. (p.s., I’m fairly certain this is one of the only pictures they have of him. looks stern, eh?) he’s one of my favorite composers, especially in his solo piano pieces.
